We spent our last weekend up north for a little while a couple of weeks ago (I don't want to be that far from the hospital at this stage of pregnancy – thankfully, we have friends and family keen to use it and help look after it for us while we're away.) The sun came out for the weekend and I remembered just how glorious that place is. Don't get me wrong, it's nice in winter – but it's downright amazing when it's hot and sunny. Can't wait to get up there again with our baby, when the time comes!
Asparagus is back in stores, and I'm rediscovering some old favourite recipes. This salad is starting to feature on the menu again...
I've made it to 39 weeks of pregnancy. It hasn't been the easiest thing I've ever done, but I'm now doing well and the baby's doing well. Getting to 39 weeks has meant I've had enough time to get everything organised at home and we are ready (as much as we'll ever be!) I just can't wait to properly meet this baby. I'm also looking forward to not wearing maternity clothes...that'll be nice.
The better weather and daylight saving time has meant H1 and I have been going for a few nice after-work walks together around our neighbourhood. I love where we live so much, and I love that after 2.5 years living here, we're still discovering cool new spots and little secrets. It also feels like a lovely privilege to get this time for just me and H1 before our little family changes completely.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
