Explore: So, Auckland!

Today marks the 26th day since I arrived in Auckland. That's 26 days away from New York, 26 days away from H1, 26 days of winter...and a bit more than 26 days without a blog post. Although I confidently assured my friends and followers that moving back to New Zealand wouldn't be the end of COACL, I also didn't anticipate that I would stick to my usual posting schedule while I got myself settled in here. Having just bought a scented candle for my new room yesterday, however, I think it's safe to say that I am almost (although not quite) settled, and now seems as good a time as any to recommence sharing my explorations of this awesome world we inhabit (read: talking about myself).

So, Auckland!

I've been asked whether I miss New York, by...well, almost everyone. It's a fair question, but I think my reply tends to confuse.

Because, not really. I think I will as time goes on, but I've said it before, and I'll say it again – Auckland is a far cooler city than it used to be. To be fair, I've been busy getting to grips with my new job, finding a new flat, catching up with my all my old friends, and enjoying a nightly Skype date with my husband. Time for exploring has been limited and often disturbed by urgent shopping needs (pillows, vege peelers, scented candles, etc) but I've had the chance to capture a moment or two.
