The Weekend Has Landed! The Actual Summer Edition

After the unofficial start of summer that really wasn't, I'm loving the weather we've been having the last couple of days – sunny, glorious, top notch weather. Great work weather. A+. Would experience again. H1 and I have both ended up having a horrendously stressful week, characterised with a severe lack of home time. In fact, I'm writing this from a Starbucks in Maryland as we speak (well, as I write – I do very much hope that by the time you read this I will be back in NYC). Tomorrow we both have awesome things like work and meetings almost all day, so plans for Sunday include a hopefully-stress-busting bike ride along the Hudson, some relaxing in the sun, and some brainstorming about the best thing to do about the situation that is causing us some worry at the moment*.

I'm super-excited about getting some quality reading time in on our lovely little terrace this weekend also. I'm reading The Happiness Project at the moment (the precursor to Happier at Home, which I mentioned here) and I think absolute perfection** would be chilling out in this chair on my terrace while I finish it:

This is an impractical thing that I want. Chair: The Carrot Concept.

This is one of the pieces that I saw at Wanted Design that I loved. I finally looked it up, and I cannot find it is from The Carrot Concept (an El Salvadoran pursuit) and their website is still under construction. However, there's not actually any space for it on my terrace, so it's a moot point – but a gorgeous dream!

What are you up to this weekend?!

*Ew. Sorry for the vagueness – I'm not a fan of it in any way, shape, or form, but there's not a lot more I can say right now. Rest assured that in the grand scheme of things, our tiny little situation is really not all that important, and we'll have it all solved very shortly. We're good like that.

**Absolute perfect patterns on the back of my legs, no doubt.
