The Weekend Has Landed! The Easter Edition

How has your week been? It's been a lovely one here in New York - one of those odd ones that seems to have lasted a long time, yet has been exceedingly busy. Usually I only feel like time is dragging when I don't have too much going on, so this is unexpected.

On Wednesday, I was downtown for lunch, and as I had another meeting in midtown that evening, I stayed out. It was mild and sunny, and I absolutely thought about just sitting in Bryant Park and working*, but knew I'd be too easily distracted, and also cold**. Instead, I went inside the library to work in the Reading Room. That library is just amazing. I want to take it everywhere with me.

The sky was still light when I left the library, deepening to an ever-inkier blue as I went into my meeting. By the time I left it was completely dark - one of those amazing New York nights when you feel all the possibilities and hopes and dreams that abound in this city zinging in your veins.

I'm out tonight, and then I have a fancy-free weekend ahead of me. I'm not doing anything for Easter - it's really not a big deal here, and without hot cross buns and Cadbury marshmallow eggs, I'm not interested anyway***. The peace is going to be bliss.

Bliss in an image. This is an impractical thing that I want (to do).

I have not cancelled the paper.

What are you up to this weekend?!

*There's free wi-fi in Bryant Park - it's amazing!

**My optimistic dressing is not helping with that.

***TOTALLY not the point of Easter, I know. Actually, that's reason #3 why I'm not interested.
